I've been coming here for the last couple months and always receive delicious food and excellent service. The wait staff are attentive and helpful in suggesting food and drinks. I'm obsessed with the Salted Yuzu beer, but their cocktails are complex and yummy (try the Tokyo!). I'm working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. It is an absolute joy to eat here, and I leave with a smile on my face every time.
OK YAKI is one of my favorite restaurants around. The food and drinks have been excellent every visit, along with the service. The outdoor seating area is nice and great for groups. The parking lot in front is very small and usually full, however, the parking lot at Hodgepodge just next door is available after hours. I think the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the dining experience.
My boyfriend and I came after work. We were very amazed, all the food we ordered was delicious. And the service is also friendly and fast. We'll come back later.
Delicious food and great service. Our waiter José was amazing. We ordered the Handmade Gyoza for an appetizer, and the Yaki Udon, the curry, and the Yakisoba as a main. It was all delicious. My friend also had a cocktail which she really enjoyed as well. The parking lot was a little small, but you can find street parking nearby when it's full. They only have a few tables and bar seats so you may have to wait for a bit when it's cold or rainy and outside seating is not an option. Worth the wait though!
I guess I was hungry since I forgot to take pictures of our food. LOL
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Very good Japanese restaurant. I would consider them Top 5 asian restaurants I've been to. All selections were delicious and authentically made.
Service was exceptional as well. Servers were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Plenty of seating. Not a lot of parking.
You know a restaurant is good when you still crave the food and finally write a review about it due to said craving! I went here two months ago on a trip to ATL and wow, what a hidden gem! Place was packed when I came, so I winded up sitting at the bar area watching the chefs prepare all the food, which is a highlight in itself. If you weren’t hungry when you got in, you certainly will be watching the process in front of your eyes! The okonomoyaki was worth the wait, please please try it with the yakisoba noodles and shrimp topping! (I would much prefer squid, but I’m hoping they’ll add it later!!) The curry with the katsu was also surprisingly delicious and hearty. My mouth is salivating thinking about how good the food was! I’ll be back again once I’m in Atlanta in a few months! Run, don’t walk to this wonderful place that’s open late!
Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed the music. The wait staff were prompt, knowledgeable and very friendly. Food was the best.
OK! this is a wonderful local Atlanta establishment that I frequent since I live in the neighborhood and after coming here many times I only just realized I haven’t written a review about it yet.
Every time I come here, I have a wonderful meal. I love that it stays open late and is a great option for takeout and delivery.
I like that most of the menu makes up small plates and shareable entrees so it’s great for going with a group who are willing to share.
The service is fantastic, the whole staff work in unison from front of house to back of house. The atmosphere is very friendly and has an open kitchen so you get to see all the okonomiyaki in action.
Since most things are prepared ahead of time or can cook fast to order, the wait time for your food isn’t very long. We often order a couple dishes as we go knowing they will arrive in minutes.
They have great options on drinks, hot tea and delicious cocktails and a cozy bar if you just want to hang out amongst the towering collection of sake bottles.
I highly recommend if you are in the east Atlanta side of town and you want to try some traditional Japanese cuisine.
